FACE PAINTING
One of the most popular activities of Art Week 2019 is Face Painting, a fund-raiser organised by the Art Week Committee in cooperation with Student Council. All proceeds of this endeavour will help support the different community service projects of the Oxford Volunteers Club. Eager students from both the Russian and international curricula availed of either a full face or single motif painting last Monday and Tuesday. On Thursday during break times, STuCo's talented face painters will be stationed at the Reception area, Ground Floor to extend their make-up services to families and guests who are attending the Nooruz program. Support Face Painting fun! Support a worthy cause! Support OIS's Young @ Art!

OIS's Young @ Art
- 15
Art Week 2019 dubbed “OIS’s Young @ Art” opened with a very inspiring art talk by popular local artist Mr. Zhyrgal Maturaimov.
Having learned his unique painting style both from his Fine Arts studies and influenced by his interaction with fellow artists abroad, Mr. Zhyrgal advised the Secondary students to value their education as this is the key to becoming a successful artist.
The art exhibition was officially opened with a Ribbon-cutting Ceremony by Mr. Neil and our guest artist.
More fun art activities are to follow in the succeeding days according to Mrs Vera. She urged the whole OIS community to get into artistic mode and be involved.
Wonder Women
Role of a woman in our society is the topic that is constantly put under a discussion. This is what OIS staff members have to say about it.
Science Fair with Primary Students!!!

After a very successful Science Fair, some of our young scientists were given awards for the high quality of their projects. We hope this will encourage them in their professional scientific effort and also encourage more students to participate in the upcoming science activities. Projects were chosen to win according to those with the most proficient scientific base for science competitions. Students were happy and inspired by our Science Fair.
Ecosia - the way to save our planet!!!
KGRU Curriculum student Elizabeth brought the search engine Ecosia to the minds of Cambridge Curriculum students. Ecosia is a search engine that plants trees around the world with each search.
Oxford International School is proud to announce that Ecosia is now the official search engine used in our ICT labs as we, we hope, help make the world a better place to live.
If you’d like to use Ecosia, just visit ecosia.org and you, too, can help save our planet.
Thank you, Elizabeth!
